As we enter into March, with 2012 behind us, the Historic Bed and Breakfast Inns of Duluth are looking forward to another fantastic season of welcoming guests to our Inns and to our gorgeous port city of Duluth.
We ended our 2012 season with a great event, our Holiday Tour of Historic Inns. We are very pleased to say it was a success once again! Our goal and primary purpose for holding the tour was to raise funds for Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank and we are grateful to all who braved a very snowy day to join us. We were able to raise over $2000 for Second Harvest which will meet immediate needs to those in our Port City.
This year’s tour included a new dimension by including a raffle to win a stay at any one of our Duluth Inns. A donation of $100 or more made directly to Second Harvest entered tour-goers into a drawing for this amazing treat. We are happy to say a winner has been drawn, notified, and has already booked their stay! We want to thank all of our visitors for their incredible generosity toward Second Harvest and for giving of your time and resources to help make our 2012 Holiday Tour great fun and a great success!
As spring descends upon our Lake Superior shores, your Duluth Innkeepers are looking forward to another fun and busy year ahead. Spring in Duluth offers visitors a unique perspective as the snow melts, and the tulips pop. It is a perfect time to enjoy the calm of the city, hike in any one of our beautiful parks, take in a play, and enjoy a fantastic meal at one of our many amazing Duluth restaurants. The slopes are still open and in good condition at Spirit Mountain, among many other fun adventures they have opened, such as the Timber Twister Alpine Coaster and the Zip line.
If we could give you one bit of advice to help fight that “spring fever”, it is to take that getaway trip to Duluth soon, and enjoy a rejuvenating stay at one of our stunning Duluth Bed and Breakfast Inns. It’s just what the Innkeeper ordered!!
